Today, Thursday, October 5, 2023, on the website of the Public Employment Service (DYPA), the tables with the results of the evaluation of funding applications for the 1st round of the grant program for business initiatives of young freelancers, aged 20 to 44, belonging to to marginalized social groups, such as the Roma, within the framework of the Regional Operational Program (ROP) of Western Greece for the programming period 2014-2020.

The goal of the 12-month action is to promote the self-employment of 93 unemployed Roma, aged 20 to 44, through the creation of sustainable businesses in the Region of Western Greece.

The amount of support for new businesses amounts to 14,800 euros and will be paid in three installments as follows:

  • – 1st installment of 4,000 euros, after the start of activity at DOU.
  • – 2nd installment of 5,400 euros, after the end of the first semester from the start of the business.
  • – 3rd installment of 5,400 euros, after the end of the second semester from the start of the business.

As stated in the relevant announcement, reasoned objections, with any supporting documents attached, can be submitted electronically, through the State Aid Information System (PSKE), within the exclusive deadline of 15 calendar days, from Monday 09 October 2023 at 13:00 until Monday, October 23, 2023 at 3:00 p.m., at the online address www.ependyseis.gr.

The action with a total budget of 1,375,000 euros is co-financed by the Greek State and the European Social Fund, within the framework of the Regional Operational Program (ROP) of Western Greece.
