What are the three important benefits of reducing ENFIA – The President of the Chamber of Commerce explains

by

Three important benefits arise from the reduction of ENFIA, as noted in his statements by the president of the Economic Chamber of Greece, Konstantinos Kollias.

Specifically, Mr. Kollias made the following statement:

“Today announcements by the Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and the Minister of Finance Christos Staikouras, regarding the reduction of ENFIA, have multiple benefits for Greek households:

* First and most importantly, the reduction of the tax burden for the vast majority of property owners.

* Second, the coverage -this measure- of the additional costs from the adjustment of the objective values.

* Third, the payment of the tax in several installments (up to 10).

All of the above show the practical support of the middle class that has been so affected in recent years and at the same time strengthen the investment perspective of real estate in Greece, being an incentive for households who want to place their savings there.

The reduction of ENFIA is the best possible reason for the implementation of the AIF proposal, for the launch of a public dialogue, between all relevant bodies, in order to agree on a specific tax framework, which will apply and remain stable for many years and will not cause unpleasant surprises to all those involved in the Greek real estate market.

“A framework that finds the very difficult balance between achieving fiscal targets and the required accounting order on the one hand, and forming a serious and credible approach and approach to the market on the other.”
