Measures to support households and businesses, to reduce the impact of price increases on energy, will be announced at 10.15 in the morning, the Minister of Environment and Energy, Costas Skrekas.
According to reports, the subsidy is expected to fluctuate at slightly lower levels compared to those of January, as a corresponding small de-escalation occurred in the wholesale prices of electricity (227.30 euros per megawatt hour in January compared to 235.38 euros in December).
Thus, the average aid is expected to be slightly lower than 40 euros per month compared to 42 euros in January and will escalate to 0.15 euros per kilowatt hour and the first 150 kilowatt hours per month and to 0.11 euros per minute for the next 150 up to 300 kilowatt hours per month.
The subsidy for the beneficiaries of the Social Housing Invoice is expected to be 0.17 euros per kilowatt hour.
Subsidies for commercial tariffs are expected to remain at the same level as in January, as well as aid for gas consumers, which stands at 20 euros per megawatt-hour for domestic consumption.
