The allowance will be paid as a discount on the electricity bill – settlement or against – regardless of the provider, even if it changes

Today is the last day for heating allowance applications for electricity as well the extension also expires given by the Ministry of Finance.
The evidence shows that the picture has improved, but it is still disappointing for reasons they cannot explain even to Nikis.
On January 7, the applications were around 240,000, while until yesterday afternoon the count showed 461,910. This means that in less than 1 month almost 222,000 applications were made, i.e. things accelerated. But in relation to the potential 1.2 million we are far from beneficiaries.
A disappointing fact as well the allowance – which ranges from €45 to €480 – combined with the cheap tariffs offered by providers due to increased competition, can ensure that the cost of electricity for the first quarter of 2024 will be at the same level as the pre-energy crisis period.
In any case, the beneficiaries will receive the allowance for the period from 1 January to 31 March 2024 for the electricity consumption of their main residence regardless of whether it is owned, leased or provided free of charge.
Dit will not be paid in cash but as a discount on the electricity bill – clearing or against – regardless of the provider (even if it changes)
Those who want to know if they are eligible should know that the income and asset criteria are the same as for oil.
