Mass e-mails to non-interconnected businesses and a “reminder” that, after the deadline, those liable face fines ranging from €10,000 to €20,000
Informative e-mails to professionals and entrepreneurs, who have not yet proceeded to interface the POS with their cash register, the Independent Public Revenue Authority sent, based on the data it obtains through the “Means of Payments” and “FIM” Registers.
The letter reminds that this deadline is extended:
- until April 30, 2024, if the debtor:
– He has a scheduled appointment with an installation technician in April.
– It has declared in the POS Registry, until 15/3/2024, that it is going to replace the cash register system with one of the new All-in-One solutions available, which do not require additional interface actions.
- until May 31, 2024 if the company uses a cash register system with a software system (ERP) (A.1155/2023).
- until the first day of resumption of operation of the business, if it is closed during the entire period of the above schedule, due to seasonality.
It is recalled that, in the case of non-interconnection of the POS with the cash register within the binding deadlines, the debtors face a fine of 10,000 euros, if the company is obliged to maintain a simple accounting system, or 20,000 euros, if it is obliged to maintain a double accounting system (Article 54Θ§1 KFD).
