Stock prices were under strong pressure in today’s session Stock Exchangeafter yesterday’s rise, with the market retreating towards the levels of 1,420 units.

The General Price Index closed close to the lows of the day, at 1,424.69 points, down 1.57%.

The value of transactions amounted to 98.68 million euros, while 18,753,318 shares were traded.

The large-cap index fell 1.61%, while the mid-cap index fell 1.47%.

Of the high capitalization shares, only the Sarantis share (+1.99%) registered an increase.

On the contrary, the largest decline was recorded by the shares of Autohellas (-3.37%), Ethniki (-2.99%), Piraeus (-2.95%), Aegean (-2.53%), Alpha Bank (-2.53%), Ellactor (-2.39%) and PPC (-2.30%).

Piraeus and Alpha Bank presented the largest volume of transactions, trading 4,637,377 and 3,984,041 shares, respectively.

The highest transaction value was recorded by Piraeus with 16.81 million euros and OPAP with 13.70 million euros.

19 stocks moved up, 90 fell and 9 remained stable.

The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Attic Publishing +9.42% and Lanakam +3.14%.

The biggest drop was recorded by the shares of: Kyriakoulis -6.34% and Kordellos Brothers -6.02%.
