Stelios Philanthropic Foundation: Applications are open for the 2024 Youth Entrepreneurship Awards with a total prize of €200,000. Here’s how you can take part.

Sir Stelios Hatziioannou, creator and owner of the easy brands and the Stelios Hatziioannou Charitable Foundation, continues his support for new businesses without interruption. Wanting to reward the efforts of young entrepreneurs in Greece, it organizes for the 15th year the “Youth Entrepreneurship Awards 2024 Stelios Hatziioannou”. The awards are now a very important institution for Greek entrepreneurship, strengthening the national economy and creating new jobs in Greece. It is even worth mentioning that from 2008 to today they have supported the new businesses of the country with a total amount of €1,330,000.

Since this year the total value of the prizes for the three winners has increased by €100,000, giving more motivation to young entrepreneurs to make their dreams come true. Total will be given 3 awards with a total value of €200,000. Specifically, Mr first winner will claim the amount of €100,000, the second the amount of €60,000 and the third €40,000.

Those entrepreneurs who are up to 35 years old and have founded a Greek company with the start of their business activity in the last 5 years, accumulating a total turnover of at least €20,000 per year can take part. In addition, their business must employ at least 3 people and the entrepreneur must own at least 50% of it. If there are two owners, they must own more than 80% of the company between them. Each company can make only one application. Applicants can be of any nationality provided the company has its headquarters in Greece and files its taxes with the Greek state.

The 3 winners will be announced by Sir Stelios Hadjiioannou on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at a special event with a physical presence at the Stelios Foundation Conference Hall, the iconic building of Kydathinaion Street in Plaka that was inaugurated in 2023 and is used for events of the Stelios Hadjiioannou Charitable Foundation, while at the same time it is available free of charge for use by Charitable Organizations, under conditions set by the Foundation (more information here).
