“The ND is not in a crisis,” replied Deputy Finance Minister Nikos Papathanasis on the “Mismatches” show on SKAI, on the occasion of the explosive atmosphere that prevailed at the meeting of the party’s Executive Committee and added that “this is the healthy process and must be done in all the parties”.

With reference to Mr. Stournara’s remarks that real estate has increased in price by 66%, but also to the announcements of the Central Bank and other organizations that lower the growth bar, Mr. Papathanasis replied: “In 2023, Greece had 5 times the growth of Europe” adding that with this data we cannot say that “something is wrong”.

At this point the Deputy Minister of Finance, he referred to the “My House” program which he said gave relief to over 10,000 citizens who bought a house with a subsidized interest rate. “The prime minister is negotiating to continue and we have a second “My Home” program.”

Also, Mr. Papathanasis referred to the creation of 400,000 jobs mainly for young people, investments and the return of young people from abroad as well as support programs.

Also referring to the Entrepreneurship Fund III, which concerns small and medium enterprises and subsidizes approximately 75% of loans, the deputy minister explained: “The first axis is a guarantee as we guarantee 80% of the loan and at the same time subsidize the interest rate by 2-3 points. If he does not need this condition, that is, he has guarantees, he gets 40% of the loan interest-free and we subsidize 60% with 2-3 units”.

Mr. Papathanasis also noted that so far more than 10,000 applications have been made by small and medium enterprises.

Regarding loans for agricultural entrepreneurship, he said that the farmer borrows 50% at zero interest and 2 years is paid for the rest of the cost.

At the same time he announced that a new broadband voucher is coming and the buildings as well as the Gigabyte voucher to connect his apartment with optical fiber without charge “In July it will be in the air”, he concluded.

The new Voucher, as he explained, will give every apartment the opportunity to connect for free, without any charges or other difficulties, to the optical fiber connection, as long as the connection of the building has been completed first.

Mr. Papathanasis concluded by saying that the program will be included in the Recovery Fund, while the integration process will be simple, without bureaucracy. “Every citizen will be able to apply directly to the provider, as in any other case,” he noted.
