Stock prices closed with a slight rise in today’s Stock Exchange session, with the market again approaching the levels of 1,440 units. But the turnover fluctuated at particularly low levels, indicative of the limited willingness to take risks, in view of the second round of the French elections.

The General Price Index closed at 1,440.52 points, marking an increase of 0.33%. Intra-sessionally it recorded a higher price at 1,442.11 units (+0.44%).

On a weekly basis, the main stock market index registered a rise of 2.58%, while since the beginning of the year it has recorded gains of 11.40%.

The value of transactions amounted to 55.51 million euros, while 12,845,113 shares were traded.

The large-cap index rose 0.42%, while the mid-cap index fell marginally to 0.09%.

Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of Sarantis (+5.45%), Viohalco (+2.48%), ELPE (+1.95%) and EYDAP (+1.81 %).

On the contrary, the largest decline was recorded by the shares of Aegean Airlines (-1.43%), PPC (-1.14%) and Lamda Development (-1.27%).

The largest volume of transactions was presented by Alpha Bank and Eurobank, trading 2,884,386 and 2,674,672 shares, respectively.

The highest value of transactions was recorded by Eurobank with 5.68 million euros and National Bank with 5.04 million euros.

60 stocks moved up, 39 fell and 24 remained stable.

The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Minerva +21.30% and Doppler +6.95%.

The biggest drop was recorded by the shares: Progressive -7.69% and Xylemporia (p) -7.02%.
