by

Large drugstore chains in the country begin this week to sell the first two self-tests for Covid released by Anvisa.

The Raia Drogasil chain says that all its stores will have the Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) Autotest Antigen available until this Friday (4).

The DPSP Group, owner of Drogarias Pacheco and Drogaria São Paulo, says it provided half a million items of products approved by Anvisa from Eco Diagnóstica and Novel.

According to the network, the self-tests will initially be available in stores in the capitals of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, and then in all other municipalities and states where the flags are present.

The test promises to detect, in 15 minutes, the presence of the virus in the body. At Pacheco and São Paulo drugstores, the product will cost R$ 69.90.

The Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) Autotest Antigen, from the company CPMH Comércio e Indústria de Produtos Medicos Hospitalares e Odontológicas, was released by the regulatory agency on February 17.

Autotest Covid Ag Oral Detect registered on behalf of the company Eco Diagnóstica was the first product that uses a saliva sample registered in Brazil.

The regulatory body authorized the sale of self-tests in Brazil on January 28. Each company needs to apply for registration to market the product.
