A mild recovery was recorded by share prices in the last session of the week at Athens Stock Exchange. The market had been on a downward trajectory for four consecutive sessions, during which the main stock market index recorded total losses of 1.83%.

O General Price Index closed at 1,416.78 points, up 0.37%. Intra-sessionally it recorded a higher price at 1,417.42 units (+0.41%).

On a weekly basis, the main stock market index registered a drop of 1.47%, while since the beginning of the year it has recorded gains of 9.56%.

The value of transactions amounted to 112.06 million euros, while 24,752,719 shares were traded.

The large-cap index rose 0.48%, while the mid-cap index gained 0.24%.

Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of PPC (+2.02%), OTE (+1.99%), Autohellas (+1.53%), Eurobank (+0.99 %) and Piraeus (+0.90%).

On the contrary, the largest decline was recorded by the shares of Jumbo (-0.86%), Lamda Development (-0.79%), Titan (-0.76%) and Aegean (-0.69%).

The largest volume of transactions was presented by Alpha Bank and Eurobank, trading 7,050,331 and 4,501,962 shares, respectively.

The highest value of transactions was recorded by Nthniki with 27.89 million euros and Piraeus with 11.91 million euros.

64 stocks moved up, 41 down and 24 remained stable.

The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Attica Bank +28.43% and Chaidemenos +10.66%.

The biggest drop was registered by the shares: Epilectos -10.00% and Leventeris (p) -5.22%.
