For the 3rd consecutive year, METLEN Energy & Metals (“METLEN”) supports the innovative Training Program “Learning to see the Man” with the aim of strengthening the culture of inclusion, accessibility, social acceptance, equality and equal opportunities.

The educational program cultivates empathy and activates in students reflexes of social consciousness with the ultimate goal of functioning as a driver of change and inclusion in society in the future.

S.K.E.P. evaluated the educational program through a questionnaire answered by 83 teachers of the schools of the Prefecture of Attica and Lamia. According to this assessment, 94% consider the program “very useful”, while the remaining 6% rate it as “very useful”. All teachers (100%) would recommend it to other colleagues and schools.

At the same time, METLEN, through the Equal Society Organization for a society of equal opportunities, carried out a measurement of the social effects of the educational program, since the beginning of its cooperation with SKEP, during the years 2022 and 2023. results reveal its strong effect on schools in the Prefecture of Viotia in 2022 and in Attica in 2023:

• 4,849 students from 79 school communities,
• 95 speeches by 2 speakers.

For every €1 invested in the program, at least €4.13 is returned in social value, confirming the importance of this initiative in social cohesion and the inclusion of people with disabilities.

METLEN’s specific initiative is implemented in the context of the strategic partnerships it develops with important social actors to achieve the Global Sustainable Development Goals (Goals 10 and 17).
