With contracts of death and blood, the war for supremacy in fuel smuggling, fuel adulteration and cigarette smuggling has been going on for the last few years.

The so-called “Uncle Joe”, “Rambo”, “Nionios” and “Ham”, leading members of the Greek Mafia, fell dead in 1.5 years, due to the reins of these illegal activities in our country, as well as some even earlier .

All the victims were invisible owners of dozens of gas stations across the country, some bringing chemical solvents from Bulgaria for the adulteration, others installing hidden tanks and remote control software on the pumps to supply the adulterated fuel.

Three of these murders were solved and behind them were hidden members of the Russian-Georgian Mafia of Vor V Zakone, which during the war in Ukraine, tried to expand more vigorously in the smuggling of fuel and cigarettes in our country.

The Greek Mafia adapts and expands to various sectors of the socio-economic life of the country, making it difficult to deal with them. The newly established Directorate for Combating Organized Crime, the so-called “Hellenic FBI”, for the first time will give priority to following the money, in dealing with the financial dimension of organized crime.

The goal of the new agency is to disable the leading members of the organization.
