EFKA pays the first pensions – including the official ones from their work – to working pensioners in November.

These are pensioners who retired after 2016 and then continued to work. Until now, there was not the necessary software to count the marks of the work, o EFKA but he completed it and already recalculated the first pensions.

It must be said, however, that counting a few extra years into the pension, 2-3-4 years for example, only slightly increases them. As an e-EFKA official noted in skai.gr“the initial pension award time gives the vast majority of the pension, the rest is a lollipop”. That is why the advice of labor experts to the insured is that it is better to collect more stamps before retiring, than to go out and work afterwards.

In order to do the counting of the coins, an application is required from the pensioner to the EFKA of his region. From next month, the software will be able to count the stamps of the oldest pensioners, before 2016.

According to the official figures of the Ministry of Labour, there are around 196,000 working pensioners. The e-EFKA circular clarifies which of them are exempt from the payment of a resource in favor of e-EFKA:

-Persons with mental disabilities

– People with special diseases such as quadriplegia, blindness, amputation, cystic fibrosis, etc.

-Pensioners due to disability who, however, are required to declare that they are working

-Those who receive the extra-institutional allowance or the corresponding allowance of article 54, of the p.d. 169/2007.

-Many children with at least one minor child or who is studying in higher or higher schools and up to the completion of his 24th year of age or is incapable of any livelihood work.

-Persons whose pension is issued or paid by the Ministry of Finance, such as victims of terrorist acts or war

– Retired OGA who continue to work as farmers are however required to submit a declaration of employment

-Pensioners who have been dismissed from service due to incapacity (due to common disease, accident on duty, accident off duty, occupational disease).

-Pensioners of other organizations except OGA who have an income from agricultural activity that does not exceed €10,000. They are required to submit a declaration of employment

– Those employed in general government agencies who have not reached the age of 62

-Pensioners who are paid with Certificates of Services Provided and are exempt from the obligation of insurance and payment of contributions

Before a pensioner takes up work, he is obliged to declare it to e-EFKA. If he does not, he will be faced with a fine equal to the sum of 12 main and auxiliary pensions which can be withheld at a rate of 25% even from the auxiliary pension.

In case of non-payment of the contributions and the additional non-remunerative resource in favor of e-EFKA by self-employed or farmer pensioners for more than 2 months, the debts are withheld from the total pensions.
