The Ministry of Tourism is working intensively in the direction of the sustainable and qualitative development of Greek tourism, emphasized the Minister Olga Kefalogianni, on the occasion of the signing of the contract for the sub-concession of the right to build, operate, manage, maintain and exploit the Marina of Large Ships in Corfu.
“The development of the Mega Yacht Marina in Corfu”, underlined Ms. Olga Kefalogianni, “is part of the national strategy for upgrading and utilizing the tourist infrastructure in the country’s tourist ports. Maritime tourism creates high-level, multiplying -direct and indirect- benefits at the level of the local and national economy”.
The contract was signed between the Hellenic State, TAIPED and the Corfu Port Authority on the one hand and the company “LAMDA CORFU MARINA SOLELY PERSONAL ANONYMOUS COMPANY FOR THE DEVELOPMENT AND EXPLOITATION OF MARINA KERKYRAS”, a subsidiary of the company “LAMDA MARINAS INVESTMENTS SMSA”, which was declared Preferred Investor in July 2023 in the tender conducted by TAIPED.
The total value of the price to be paid by the sub-concessionaire based on the contract signed will exceed 89 million euros over a period of 40 years. It includes a) a financial consideration that will be paid once upon the start of the sub-concession and b) a percentage of the sub-concessionaire’s turnover that will be paid annually. In addition, the sub-concessionaire will implement investments of over 50 million euros for the construction and development of the Marina from scratch. This is the first Marina of this size to be built from scratch in the last 20 years.
The licensed Large Yacht Marina is located within the Port of Corfu and is located west of the cruise pier, near the Passenger Terminal. It will have the ability to serve 98 vessels up to 140 meters in length and has a land area of 39,400 sq.m.

Dimitriadis, the CEO Councilor of the Corfu Port Authority, Spyridon Zervopoulos, the Chief Investment Officer of LAMDA DEVELOPMENT, Theodoros A. Gavrielidis, and the CEO of LAMDA MARINAS INVESTMENTS SMSA, Stavros Katsikadis.
