Stock prices were under strong pressure in today’s session Stock Exchangewith the market returning to a downward trajectory, after yesterday’s upward reaction, retreating to the levels of 1,380 units. At the center of liquidations were banking shares and the title of Motor Oil.

The General Price Index closed at 1,381.83 points, down 1.38%.

Intra-sessionally it recorded a lower price at 1,377.23 points (-1.70%).

The value of transactions amounted to 136.21 million euros, while 31,925,128 shares were traded.

The large-cap index fell 1.28%, while the mid-cap index fell 1.90%.

Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of Autohellas (+1.47%), Mytileneos (+1.23%) and Sarantis (+0.92%).

On the contrary, the biggest fall was recorded by the shares of Motor Oil (-4.11%), Alpha Bank (-3.66%), Piraeus (-3.42%), Ellaktor (-3.34%) and of PPA (-2.86%).

Eurobank and Alpha Bank presented the largest volume of transactions, trading 8,632,454 and 7,377,880 shares, respectively.

The highest value of transactions was recorded by Nthniki with 31.01 million euros and Piraeus with 17.94 million euros.

13 stocks moved up, 88 fell and 22 remained stable.

The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Epilectos +10.00% and Minerva +1.96%.

The biggest drop was registered by the shares: Leventeris(p) -20.59% and Attica Bank -5.67%.
