Panel SA: Oil surge leads Ipiranga to control diesel sales

by

With the rise in oil prices due to the war in Ukraine, Ipiranga warned dealers that the delivery of diesel will have to undergo analysis before being released to “ensure competitive supply”.

The company attributes the bottleneck to international supply.

“The orders from the day to the same day and the anticipation of orders will be submitted to analysis before release”, says the statement sent to Ipiranga’s customers this Tuesday (8).

The company says it is prioritizing the fulfillment of orders in its own network of resellers and business customers.

This week, the barrel of oil was almost US$ 140, reaching the highest level since the peak of 2008, and the United States announced a boycott of imported oil from Russia.

Meanwhile, the Bolsonaro government is trying to reach a consensus on what complementary measures will be taken to contain the rise in prices at the pumps.

For almost two months, Petrobras has not increased diesel and gasoline prices.
