Three-year collaboration with the business sustainability assessment platform EcoVadis PPC announced, with the aim, as it points out, of integrating sustainability principles into its supply chain.

With the evaluation platform provided by EcoVadis, PPC will be able to map and evaluate its external supply chain partners in terms of their performance on key environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) issues, as well as shared CSV utility.

OR general manager of PPC Group Procurement, Georgeta Christodoulopouloustated: “Our main priority is to integrate the principles of sustainability in all our activities and we seek to ensure that our partners also recognize and share our commitment to sustainable development. We therefore invite them to contribute dynamically to the achievement of our common goal by participating in an assessment of their companies’ sustainability performance through the EcoVadis platform».

PPC’s strategic choice is to create and measure the shared benefit between Business, society and the environment throughout the value chain through the continuous integration of sustainable development indicators and mechanisms, which are harmonized with the international, European and national regulatory framework. PPC can only achieve its goal of being sustainable if its partners share and apply principles, values and practices that promote sustainable development. By using technology and leveraging international platforms, such as EcoVadis, it is possible to identify opportunities and risks that may arise and ultimately affect and co-shape the Group’s environmental and social footprint“, stated the Director of Sustainable Development of PPC, Achilleas Ioakeimidis.
