Uber announced this Friday (11) that it will raise travel prices starting next week, after the mega-increase in fuel prices announced by Petrobras this Thursday (10).
According to the company, the adjustment will be 6.5% and is temporary. “The increase is also intended to help drivers deal with the spike in their operating costs,” the app said in a statement.
Uber also promised a BRL 100 million package aimed at initiatives to increase earnings and reduce drivers’ costs.
“The package is part of a global initiative by the company in the face of instability in the international scenario caused by the conflict in Eastern Europe, which has put pressure on input costs around the world, particularly fuels”, says the company in a statement.
