“The time has come to modernize the chamber”, said the founder and CEO of PLASIS REAL ESTATE + DEVELOPMENT
Its modernization EBEA to highlight its multidimensional role in entrepreneurship is the vision of Minas Dimos, founder and CEO of the PLASIS REAL ESTATE + DEVELOPMENT company, who is participating as a candidate for the EBEA board of directors, in the Manufacturing Department, with the “Alma Brosta” combination , by Yiannis Bratakos.
In a well-organized event, which was attended by the head of the “Alma Brosta” combination Yiannis Bratakos, representatives of the central political scene, businessmen, partners and friends, Minas Dimos presented his positions and his vision for the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry .
Minas Municipality has been active in the field of real estate for the last 25 years and by participating in the elections of the EBEA seeks to contribute to the emergence of the EBEA as a tool to empower the entrepreneur in the new era of internationalized competition and Artificial Intelligence, as well as to the expansion of chamber representation of the construction and real estate sector.
As pointed out by Mr. Municipality Month, the need for the modernization of chambers is today imperative as despite the government’s reform policy that has given impetus to the economy and businesses, leading to a new productive model, the Chambers are the last critical factor, with a direct influence on entrepreneurship , which has not undergone any significant institutional reform in the last seven years.
Carrying significant experience from his business activity in Greece and abroad, as well as participation in international business missions, among others to China and India, Mr. Dimos spoke about the need to upgrade and institutionally modernize the country’s most important Chamber, in order to respond to the increased needs of businesses in an environment of constant challenges.
The role of the Chambers, emphasized Mr. A municipality is multidimensional and includes many important functions. First, they provide their members with services that support their strategic development, management and tax obligations, while encouraging innovation and the use of new technologies and financing tools. In addition, they act as representatives of the business sectors at government and public level, actively participating in the formulation of policies that enhance entrepreneurship and economic development. Overall, they contribute to strengthening the competitiveness of businesses, guiding them in the implementation of new practices and the utilization of resources, while providing support at the level of legislation and political decisions.
The reorganization of the Chambers is not just a process of modernizing their operations, but a strategic investment in the future of Greek businesses. In order for the Chambers to respond to the demands of modern entrepreneurship, they should reconnect with the needs of businesses and become more adaptive, innovative and supportive of their members.
Mr. Municipality also emphasized the importance and need to implement actions and interventions by the Chambers, such as:
● The creation of digital tools that will allow businesses to easily find staff from a wider labor market, offering job listing and viewing services.
● Strengthening cooperation with educational institutions and academic bodies, through the development of cooperation programs to promote technological innovation and train new professionals to meet business requirements.
● Strengthening the continuous training of businesses to protect them from cyber-attacks and online fraud, as well as promoting information on protection systems and data security.
● Providing regular updates on national and European institutional changes affecting businesses and creating information channels for new legislation and regulations.
● The implementation of educational programs to strengthen the business literacy and business skills of the population, in order to facilitate the start-up of new businesses.
● Providing statistics, data and analysis to help businesses and new entrepreneurs better understand their markets and needs.
The event saw an excellent response from the participants, who had the opportunity to exchange views with the candidate, while underlining the importance of strengthening EBEA to support small and medium-sized enterprises.
The event closed with a call for active participation in the EBEA elections, which will be held on November 30, as well as December 1 and 2, 2024.
