Over 710,000 minors up to 12 years of age, as well as minors over 12 years of age who did not already have one, automatically received a VAT number from AADE in November
More than 710,000 minors up to 12 years of age, as well as minors over 12 who did not already have, automatically received VAT numberfrom Independent Public Revenue Authorityin November.
The action to automatically issue TINs to all minors aged 1 to 18 has thus been completed, following last year’s automatic issuance of TINs to minors over 12 years of age, with the total automated issuance of 1,126,000 TINs.
The new procedure significantly facilitates parents / guardians, as they no longer need to submit an application or visit the AADE services to obtain a VAT number for their minor children. It should be noted that the granting of a VAT number to minor children does not create an obligation to obtain a key or to submit declarations.
To complete the actions, the interoperability services with the Civil Registry, provided by the Interoperability Center of the General Secretariat of Information Systems and Digital Governance (GIPSPDS), were utilized. At the same time, through interoperability with ELAS, the gradual updating of the Register of Taxpayers with the Identity Cards of minor children who received TINs last year and this year with the automated process began. To date, the image of 142,000 minor children has been updated.
The aim of this action is the automated provision of a password by the children themselves, when they reach adulthood.
The parents of minors who received a VAT number:
• updated via e-mail and through the “My Messages” box in the myAADE digital portal, under the path Register & Contact > My Messages, or via myAADEapp > My Messages.
• have access to their children’s information through the myAADE digital portal, under the path Registry & Contact > Registry Confirmations > Current Natural Person Image, selecting the “Natural Person Relationships” field, as well as through the myAADEapp mobile application, choosing from main screen, myWallet > Registration Details > + Individual > Preview
