Which companies were fined – The list
Fines to a total of 8 multinationals for profit margin violations announced by the Ministry of Development.
As the ministry states in its announcement:
“In the context of the audit carried out on 26 large companies, fines are announced on eight multinational companies – in which the relevant procedure has been completed – in the total amount of 5.5 million. euros, in application of article 54 of Law 5045/2023.
A total of 443 product codes were checked and a violation was detected in 191. The Minister of Development, Takis Theodorikakos, accepted the recommendation of the Inter-Service Market Control Unit (DIMEA), signing today the decisions on the imposition of fines.
The companies that have been fined – and have been notified as required by law – are the following:
- S.K. JOHNSON GREECE LTD. (CLEANING) – 267,100 euros
- HENKEL HELLAS S.A.V.E. (PERSONAL HYGIENE AND CARE ITEMS) – 286,000 euros
- UNILEVER HELLAS S.A. (CLEANERS – PERSONAL HYGIENE ITEMS) – 516,000 euros
- COLGATE PALMOLIVE HELLAS COMMERCIAL MON. LTD (PERSONAL HYGIENE AND CARE ITEMS) – 535,000 euros
- FAGE GREECE DAIRY INDUSTRY S.A. (YOGURT – CHEESE) – 924,000 euros
- JACOBS DOUWE EGBERTS GR LTD (COFFEES) – 1,000,000 euros
- FRISLANDKABINA HELLAS S.A. (GIAOURTIA) – 1,000,000 euros
- JOHNSON & JOHNSON HELLAS CONSUMER PRODUCTS S.A.E. (PERSONAL HYGIENE AND CARE ITEMS) – 1,000,000 euros’.
