The tax office carries out sweeping checks on influencers’ income from advertising through the videos they upload to social networking media, without declaring it to the tax office.

A “scan” has started, by the social media team of AADE, which controls, and uses modern artificial intelligence methods to enter the accounts.

In fact, the research has retroactive effect, as it will be done on posts that have been made years ago.

The research identifies those who appear poor at the tax office, and at the same time appear to live luxuriously, either with expensive cars, or in expensive hotels, or take five-day trips to exotic destinations.

Only those who have opened books and enter invoices in Mydata will be spared from the “pinch” of AADE,

According to ERT, influencers are classified into categories according to the income they receive:

  • NanoInfluencers: From 1,000 to 10,000 followers estimated to make 20 to 100 euros per post.
  • MicroInfluencers: From 10,000 to 50,000 followers, with profit from 30 to 200 euros per post.
  • Mid–TierInfluencers: From 50,000 to 500,000 followers, earning from 80 to 650 euros per post.
  • MacroInfluencers: From 500,000 to one million followers, with a profit of 150 to 1,500 euros per post.
  • MegaInfluencers: Over 1 million followers, with a profit of over 1,500 euros per post.
