Explosive rise recorded by prices of shareswith the market closing at the levels of 870 units, in the middle positive climate at international markets, with investors focusing on diplomatic efforts to resolve the Ukrainian crisis and Fed decisions. Bank stocks were at the center of investment interest, while the total market capitalization increased today by 3.1 billion euros.
O General Price Index closed at 871.99 points, marking high gains 5.68%. Intra-conference, it recorded a higher price at 872.32 points (+ 5.71%).
The value of the transactions amounted to 112.90 million euros, while 48,896,213 shares were traded.
The index of high capitalization increased by 6.43%, while the index of medium capitalization increased by 2.82%.
All the shares of high capitalization closed with gains and the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of Eurobank (+ 11.34%), Ethniki (+ 10.88%), Alpha Bank (+ 9.01%), Terna Energy (+ 8.09%), Piraeus (+ 7.59%) and Quest Holdings (+ 7.55%).
All sub-indices moved upwards and the largest increase was recorded by the indices of Banks (+ 10.02%), Telecommunications (+ 5.64%) and Utilities (+ 5.64%).
Eurobank and Alpha Bank presented the largest volume of transactions, circulating 14,192,816 and 14,119,246 shares, respectively.
The highest value of transactions was recorded by Alpha Bank with 15.513 million euros and OTE with 15.020 million euros.
117 stocks moved higher, 15 declined and 9 remained unchanged.
The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Kekrops + 20.35% and Frigoglass + 19.59%.
The biggest drop was recorded by the shares: Nafpaktos Spinning Mills -10.34% and SATO -6.85%.
