SA Panel: British airline begins to allow passengers without a mask in flight

by

The British giant British Airways begins to remove the mandatory masks on flights from this Wednesday (16). On some routes, the use of protection becomes optional.

In a statement to customers, the company urges passengers to respect the choice of other travelers.

Virgin Atlantic Airways also made the use more flexible as of this Wednesday, following the end of the obligation in England.

According to the company, the rules may change according to the requirements of different countries. When traveling to the United States, for example, protection can only be removed to eat or drink.

“Customers may also be required to wear a mask when boarding or disembarking flights, in accordance with the regulations of the departure or arrival airport or country of destination”, says the airline.

British lowcost Jet2 and TUI Airways have also changed their policies.

Airlines, however, continue to guide the use of protection on aircraft when traveling to England or Northern Ireland, even if it is no longer mandatory. For Wales and Scotland, which are also part of the United Kingdom, the requirement follows.
