THE sheet and Ibre-FGV (Brazilian Institute of Economics of Fundação Getulio Vargas) are promoting this Friday (18), at 10 am, an online seminar on the impacts of the war in Ukraine on oil and energy prices, in addition to the bottlenecks in the area that challenge Brazilian growth.
Russia’s attacks that began four weeks ago set off waves of destabilization in energy markets, prompting Petrobras to announce a mega-increase in fuel prices last week.
The consequences will be felt in inflation, consumer income and economic activity this year.
The meeting will be attended by Fernanda Delgado, corporate executive director of the Brazilian Institute of Oil and Gas, Flávio Rodrigues, vice president of corporate relations at Shell, and Silvia Matos, coordinator of the Ibre-FGV Macro Bulletin. The meeting will be mediated by special reporter Fernando Canzian.
