Nearly 600 applicants have already been subject to the ‘My house 2’less than a month after applying applications, according to first details from Greek Development Bankwhich is responsible for managing the program.
Specifically, affiliated banks have approved 584 subsidized mortgages totaling € 65 million, while interest in participation in the program remains particularly large as about 120,000 citizens have submitted evidence to determine whether they are eligible on the basis of the criteria.

Based on the first data, “My Home 2” benefits low income and middle class, as the average annual income of approved borrowers does not exceed EUR 21,300.
The houses to be purchased have an average area of ​​91.5 square meters, indicating that many participants are looking for a family home. About seven out of ten approved applications include married couples and single parent families.
“My Home 2” has enlarged age criteria, covering citizens up to 50 years, while “My House I” was 39 years. The largest “tank” of beneficiaries is also reflected in the first approved applications, with the average age of borrowers amounting to 38 years.
Although most approvals are found in the two major population centers, Attica and Central Macedonia, more than 46% of applications that have received “green light” have so far been subjected to the region, which demonstrates the geographical dispersion of interest.
Eastern Macedonia and Thrace with 56 approvals, with Thessaly with 37, has the portion of Leo, outside Athens and Thessaloniki.
