The possibility of war in 2022 has been underestimated by most executives who calculate annual business risk projections.
According to the new report prepared by Allianz Global Corporate with 2,650 experts from 89 countries, the political risk factor appeared only in the 13th position in the global average. It lagged well behind concerns like cyberattacks and natural disasters.
The rise in commodity prices was also overlooked.c
Despite having projected the crisis in supply chains since before the pandemic, due to geopolitical tensions in Asia and Brexit, in the global average of the ranking, attention to commodities was in 10th position.
Brazilian executives were more cautious when considering the lack of raw material, which entered the 5th main concern for 2022.
The political risk factor, despite the October elections, is out of the top ten concerns here.
