A new package of sanctions against Russia was approved by the European Union on Monday, while US President Donald Trump is pushing for negotiations on the future of Ukraine.

The package, approved on the third anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, targets aluminum imports, shadow fleet ships and exports of chemicals, chromiums and other materials used in precision tools.
