Platform is available from today ‘Know Your Business’ – (‘egov -kyb’)through which automated pumping and transmitting data of legal entities is allowed by his information systems Public to credit institutions and financial institutions, ensuring compliance with due diligence obligations.

The platform was implemented in the context of cooperation of Ministers of National Economy and Finance Kostis Chatzidakis, Digital Governance Dimitris Papastergiou and Development Takis Theodorikakouhis Deputy Minister of National Economy of Finance Nikos Papathanassisof Deputy Ministers of National Economy and Finance Thanos Petralia and Christou and his Commander of the Independent Public Revenue Authority, George Pitsilis. The platform was developed by the General Secretariat of Information Systems and Digital Governance (GGPSD) of the Ministry of Digital Governance with the care of the Secretary General Dimosthenis Anagnostopoulos.

It is an important tool for restricting bureaucracy, saving time, avoiding natural visits of legal entities to banks and enhancing data reliability. They will no longer have to collect the required supporting documents, which are obliged to submit and update regularly in order to maintain a bank account.

It is noted that the supporting documents are related to basic elements of the legal person, contact information, tax information and data of representatives, partners, members and administrators of the legal entity. So far, this procedure has required a personal presence in the banks’ stores, submitting data in a format, and the customer’s discomfort was also involved in order to gather the supporting documents.

In particular, legal representatives of legal entities enter the Egov-KYB platform, either through Gov.gr, the “Business” section and the “Electronic Business Folder” section, either directly through the kyb.gov.gr website or after the Redeemer from the Credit or Credit Foundation.

  • They are authenticized with TAXISnet codes and with a second identification factor through the National Register of Communication (EMP).
  • Subsequently, the status of a legal representative through interoperability is confirmed with the General Trade Register (GEMI).
  • Subsequently, the platform draws real -time data from public information systems through the Interoperability Center of the General Secretariat for Information Systems and Digital Government.
  • Continuing, the data is displayed to the legal representatives, who give digital approval for the transmission to the credit institution or financial organization. The legal representatives of the legal person are obliged to have informed and received the approval of all representatives, partners, members and managers whose data will be transmitted.
  • Finally, the data is transmitted digitally signed by the advanced electronic stamp of the Ministry of Digital Governance.
