In the final line the process of determining the minimum wageas the percentage of the new increase, which will apply from April 1, 2025, is expected to “lock” in the coming days.

In this context, taking into account the memoirs of the Consultation Committee and the Scientific Committee, the Minister of Labor and Social Security, Niki Kerameos and the Ministry of National Economy and Finance will recommend the new ministerial ministerial council, which is planned to be held.

It is noted that the General Confederation of Workers of Greece (GSEE), which is in favor of the immediate reinstatement of free collective bargaining, has decided not to participate in the Consultation Committee for the determination of the minimum wage, expressing its unchanging position that its designation is to be identified by Treaties and especially the changing needs of decent living of employees.

Today, the minimum wage is € 830 from 650 euros in 2019, up 28%. Indeed, the government assures that it will be perfectly consistent with its commitment to a minimum wage of 950 euros at the end of four years.

Also, from this year, the import salary in the State is equated with the minimum wage of the private sector, with a horizontal increase in all wages. From now on, the import step in the State will be formed, based on the determination of the minimum wage in the private sector, and the rest of the scales will be increased.

At the same time, in recent years, a significant relief of non -wage costs have been achieved, with the reduction of insurance contributions by 5.4 percentage points, with the aim of reaching 5.9 percentage points in 2027.

In the direction of further relief of non -wage costs, with the benefit of employees and businesses, the recent decision of the Ministry of Labor on the reduction of insurance contributions in cases of overtime, overtime, nightclubs and public holidays is moving.

Now, the calculation of insurance contributions for overtime, overtime, night employment and employment on holiday days or full -time employees is done on the hourly hourly wage that corresponds to eight -hour work, without the increase in such special cases. It is clarified that this arrangement does not affect the increase in employees’ remuneration for overtime, overtime, night employment and employment on holidays and Sundays, which continues to be paid, as it is, only affects the calculation of insurance contributions.

According to the Ministry of Labor, by this decision, “Employees’ income is reinforced as the net amount is paid to them due to the reduction of their additional contributions. In addition, employers benefit, with the payment of reduced employer contributions, which are calculated on the basis of the eight -hour remuneration and not on the basis of the increased remuneration. Finally, insurance funds are strengthened as a healthy incentive is introduced to greater compliance with the payment law. “
