OR Hellenic Association of Banks (EET) It participates, for the eleventh consecutive year, in the institution of the European Banking Federation’s “European Money Money Week” and its “Global Money Week” institution OECD.
According to EET’s announcement, the National Money Competition is the first part of the European Banking Federation’s joint initiative and its members for the financial literacy of high school and high school students aged 13-15.
In this context, the Hellenic Banks Association successfully completed the eighth National Knowledge Competition for the “European Money Quiz” on March 19, 2025.
THE contest It was done online. 564 groups and subgroups of 230 classes from 94 schools (38 Gymnasiums and 56 High Schools), Public and Private, and a total of 1,958 students from 26 prefectures: Argolida, Arcadia, Attica, Achaia, Boeotia, Dodecanese, Evros, Heraklion, Heraklion, Heraklion, Heraklion Laconia, Larissa, Lassithi, Lesvos, Lefkada, Magnesia, Xanthi, Pella, Rodopi, Serres, Trikala, Fthiotida and Chania.
The winner was the class A1 of the High School E. Mandoulides in the Prefecture of Thessaloniki. The class C2 is followed in second place in second place and in the third place C3 of the 1st Model High School of Mytilene “Byron Kinivenko” of the Prefecture of Lesvos.
The winning class will represent, with two students, her school and Greece in the European competition that will take place in Brussels on 22 and 23 May 2025.
The classes that won the top three will receive a symbolic gift from a landline computer for their school and honorary boards.
EET warmly thanks the students and teachers of the schools who participated in the eighth national competition for their response to this initiative.
Financial literacy is a priority of EET. Through this initiative, EET is trying to make financial education feasible even in the most remote areas of Greece.
