The President of the CPC, Yiannis Voutsinas, proposed “with the responsibility of the government to immediately set up a Task Force with the participation of all stakeholders”
The Central Association of Chambers of Greece (KEEE) proposes and calmly, following the decision of US President Donald Trump to impose duties.
The President of the CPC, Giannis Voutsinashe said about the US president’s announcement to impose customs duties around the world, including the EU:
“It is commonplace that the imposition of duties around the world, including the EU, announced by US President Donald Trump, will have a negative impact on world trade, but also on the growth rate and competitiveness of the EU economies.
We believe that calmness, constant vigilance and cooperation of the Greek Government, productive bodies and social partners is needed for both risks and reducing their impact.
That is why we propose under the responsibility of the Government to immediately set up a Task Force with the participation of all stakeholders in the context of the National Strategic Extraversion Plan. The export rate in the US may be only 4.5% of our exports but it is a strategic sector, agri -food, and medium -sized businesses based in the Greek region.
In the context of its advisory competence, the CPC will work in this direction. “
