The amendment for the fuel purchase subsidy was submitted to the Parliament

3% tax deduction for individuals who will pay a lump sum income tax 2021 until July 29, 2022 provides for an amendment of the Ministry of Finance which incorporates the measures announced by the government a few days ago regarding the subsidy for the purchase of fuel for natural persons, free professionals and taxi operators.

In addition, no fines are provided for overdue amendment declarations which result in a tax of up to 100 euros.

The amendment stipulates that the amount of the fuel subsidy can be increased up to 5 euros for those who choose to use a digital debit card in exchange for credit in a bank account.

More detail:

The amendment for the fuel subsidy was submitted to the bill of the Ministry of Finance for the modernization of the operating framework of the Hellenic Capital Market Commission and the new reduced Single Real Estate Tax (ENFIA).

Among other things, financial assistance is provided to every natural person, including self-employed persons, who are tax residents of Greece with declared family income of tax year 2020 up to thirty thousand (30,000) euros, in order to contribute to covering the cost of fuel consumption. May and June 2022.

For the months of par. 1, the financial support amounts to a total of the following amounts:

a) Fifty (50) euros for beneficiaries-owners of vehicles other than motorcycles-mopeds, with main residence in the Regions of North Aegean, South Aegean, Ionian Islands, Crete, in the Peripheral Unit of Islands of the Region of Attica, in the Region of Attica and the Region

b) forty (40) euros for beneficiaries – owners of vehicles other than motorcycles – mopeds, with main residence in the rest of Greece,

c) thirty five (35) euros for beneficiaries – owners of motorcycles – mopeds, with residence in the Regions of North Aegean, South Aegean, Ionian Islands, Crete, the Regional Unit of Islands of the Attica Region and the Regional Unit of the Sporades,

d) thirty (30) euros for beneficiaries-owners of motorcycles-mopeds, with main residence in the rest of Greece.

Also subsidized is the cost of diesel available on the internal market from 1 April 2022 to 30 April 2022. This amounts to 0.12 euros per liter, calculated on the value of pre-VAT sales invoices issued by refineries. The final total subsidy is calculated on the total liters of fuel available on the internal market from refineries or fuel trading companies to service stations and industrial customers.

Special purpose compensation is also granted during the month of April 2022 to taxi services, ie companies with main KAD 49.32 and KAD 52.21.29.01, as they apply on March 17, 2022, totaling two hundred (200) euros, to cover the increased fuel costs movement of the vehicles they use, in the context of their professional activity.
