The Minister of National Economy and Finance Kyriakos Pierrakakis is in the United States to participate in the spring meeting of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.
Mr. Pierrakakis today, Wednesday, April 23, will be a keynote speaker at an event at the International Monetary Fund, entitled “Roads to Success”. The Greek minister will present the course of the country’s economic recovery after the six -year crisis and the positive growth prospects of the Greek economy.
On Thursday, April 24, the Minister of National Economy and Finance will have a separate meeting with the Director General of the International Monetary Fund, Kristalina Georgieva. Mr Pierrakakis will participate in his European bond dinner with the IMF Director General, during which international economic developments and their impact on European economies will be discussed.
On the same day, Mr. Pierrakakis will attend a Foreign Policy Summit event where he will talk to the publisher of Andrew Sumlinger magazine. Then, at an event at the “Think Tank) Atlantic Council on the world’s economic developments and prospects of the Greek economy, he will discuss with Josh Lyski, senior director of AC Geoeconomics Center.
On Friday, April 25, the Greek Minister will participate in the Ministerial Plenary of the IMF International Monetary and Financial Committee (IMFC).
As part of the Spring Summit of the IMF and the World Bank, the Minister of National Economy and Finance will meet with high -ranking banking and investment groups. At an event of the Greek Embassy in Washington, he will also meet with academic, expatriate and Greek employees at the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund.
