Simpar, owner of the Movida, Vamos and BBC Leasing brands, announced this Friday (12) the purchase of UAB Motors, through its parent company Original Holding SA, in a statement to the market.
With the operation, the Original will have Honda, Toyota, BMW, Mini, BMW Motorrad, Jaguar and Land Rover dealerships in its portfolio. The acquisition still depends on the approval of Cade (Administrative Council for Economic Defense) and the consent of the automakers.
UAB Motors is valued at R$510 million, of which R$396 million will be paid at the closing of the transaction. The remaining balance will be used to cover possible adjustments to net debt, working capital and contingencies.
Simpar states that its objective is to expand its participation in the sale of light, new and semi-new vehicles, increasing its capillarity and the diversity of its products and services.
“The acquisition will significantly expand the company’s operations in the dealership sector, adding R$1.7 billion in sales and seven new vehicle brands, which are present in six new municipalities through 20 stores”, says the company .
In addition, according to the document, the Original will have a volume of vehicles sold 2.4 times greater than that registered in the 12 months prior to September 2021, and its sales should triple.
Original also intends to develop digital sales channels to expand its commercial capacity.
Also according to the statement, UAB Motors will act as an independent company and its current managers will be retained.
