On Monday 12 Maythe platform for the subsidy of businesses for the January-February period opens and the relevant Ministries of Finance and Energy issued the circular that defines beneficiaries for…. Avoiding misunderstandings.

The beneficiaries of the subsidy are therefore all businesses with gross income for the tax year of 2023 to € 10m and at the same time have the supply of commercial/general or industrial power electricity. They are excluded under the De Minimis Regulation, those active in the primary sector. Additional, The following criteria must be met:

  • They have notified their VAT ID to the Network Administrator and the Electricity Supplier.
  • They had a floating invoice in December 2024-February 2025
  • They do not have a historical rheumatoid from January 1, 2020 and after which there are pending arrears.

Beneficiaries are divided into 4 categories depending on their turnover:

  • Category A with gross revenue up to € 500,000 and a subsidy of 0.02 €/kWh in total consumption.
  • Category B with gross revenue from 500.001 € to € 1 million with a subsidy of 0.02 €/kWh at 80% of consumption
  • Category C with gross income from 1,000,001 € to 10m €. With a subsidy of 0.02 €/kWh at 60% of consumption.
  • Category D The most energy -efficient businesses, namely bakery, pastry shops, washing and (dry) cleansing textile and furry products with gross revenue up to 10m €. The subsidy here is 0.04 €/kWh in total consumption.

Especially for new businesses, which do not have gross income for the tax year 2023, they are presumed to belong to the A category.

For all categories, the aid is provided with the prejudice of not exceeding the DE Minimis ceiling.

For the new connections until February 28, the subsidy will be given in the ratio of days.

The subsidy will be given in the form of credit to the electricity accounts no later than by July 15. Any additional amounts resulting will be given by December 31st.

In order to secure the subsidy, the person concerned should be connected to the TAXIS codes at https://www.power4business.deddie.gr. The platform will remain open From 12/5 to 12/6.

After 12 June the application is impossible.

The beneficiary then states the provision for which he is requesting the aid and states responsibly that this is not a rural or communal provision.

In cases where the grant may not be assessed, DEDDIE may request some additional information

After submitting the responsible statement, the aid is calculated. It will also be cross -crossing the VAT of the business to determine if there is an infringement of the de minimis rule About Business Grants of Business

  • If the VAT ID has subsidies equal to or greater than de minimis, the application is rejected and a message of non -eligibility is displayed for reasons of exceeding the limit.
  • If the VAT ID has electricity subsidy value which, cumulatively with its subsidies, exceeds the de minimis limit, then it appears as an amount
  • If the VAT ID has a power subsidy value which, cumulatively with its subsidies, is less than the de minimis limit then the subsidy value appears intact.

After the closure of the platform the HEDNO will inform providers until June 18 And they will take over the subsidies.
