The first step in modernizing the primary sector, in particular of plant production, is the new program for reinforcement of greenhouse crops that begins next summer and specifically on June 23.

The durability of agricultural production is inextricably linked to the development of modern autonomous production units, such as greenhouses, which are particularly favored in our country because of its geographical location and temperate Mediterranean climate.

Ensuring the viability of natural resources becomes even more urgent, given the increasing risks caused by extreme weather events.

At the same time, securing the capital necessary in the agricultural sector is a critical factor in enhancing productive activity.

The modernization of agricultural production has as its main goals to increase productivity and enhance resilience in order to meet the increased consumer demands for safe, high quality and nutritional value.

This is a particularly important intervention, with a public expenditure of 150 million euros, which is expected – with private participation and overdose – to mobilize total resources of 600 million euros across the country.

“Greek Georgia is in a historical threshold. On the one hand, the challenges of the climate crisis, the increased cost of production and global uncertainty. On the other, the enormous potential of our country for the production of unique products and the power of the soul of the people of the earth. The era. Technology, it supports the producer, it is not enough to say that we want to build a Greece. He plans, dares and claims it. “

“Our strategic choice has been supporting the agri -food sector for years, as in Piraeus we envision a primary sector that will ensure the viability of natural resources and will provide us with high quality and safety products. Given the climate crisis we believe that the modernization of the agri -food sector is in the field. He specializes in the study and implementation of neuralgic works in the agri-food industry, which has brought to light the need for our country to multiply, and of course to upgrade, the approximately 8,500 greenhouses that produce agricultural products, ”said RES-Bank of Agriculture.

He went on to say that “we are responding to the invitation of the Ministry of Rural Development and Food for investment of a total budget of € 300 million in modern greenhouses, an amount that is part of the government announced by the government of 600 million euros. And we are coming to support producers, collectively as well as their funding and lawyer. We implement a holistic plan to support greenhouse crops, in a protected and controlled environment, which creates reduced production costs and higher productivity. “

According to Mr. Alexander “Piraeus provides double support: with a 100% discount loan of the grant repaid by its payment and long-term lending according to the nature of the investment. Our goal is to immediately start and complete the project as far as possible, The country’s food proficiency.
