“In this unprecedented juncture, the extroversion of Greek business is gaining new strategic importance. At the Foreign Ministry, we shield export entrepreneurship, strengthen existing markets and look for new ones. “

This was emphasized by Deputy Foreign Minister Tasos Hatzivasiliou, speaking at the Anniversary Conference “80 Years of Pan -Hellenic Exporters: Defining the future of Greek exports: innovation, challenges and opportunities”.

In more detail, he said that for 2025, 649 actions are planned. Much of the actions are exhibitions with Enterprise Greece having planned over 50 national booth entries. Of particular importance are business missions – including the Deputy Minister, at the end of the week departs a mission to Ukraine, “where roads are paved to involve Greek companies in rebuilding the country”.

In addition, the Extraordinary Council with the participation of business chambers is convened for the better coordination of extrovert policy. In this context, on June 5th, the next council will be held in Heraklion.

At the same time, the establishment of extroversion offices in the regions is launched. It is recalled that they are already operating in the Regions of Western Greece and the Ionian Islands, Central Macedonia and Eastern Macedonia and Thrace and, according to planning, will soon operate in the Region of Crete.

For his part, the Secretary General of International Economic Relations and Extravagance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dimitris Skalkos, referred to the impact of the geo -economic uncertainty that affects the global economy. As he said, the implications are now visible not only on trade but also on investment, supply chains and the institutional stability of the world economy itself.

In this environment, Greece continued, Greece is planning to present a new five -year strategic plan for exports by the end of 2025. The plan to draw up the plan will not be one -dimensional or technocratic, but will be based on a wide consultation with productive bodies and regional authorities.

“We need strategic targeting by country, industry and product,” he said, adding that the plan would begin with the evaluation of existing performance and the new international environment before new targeted national priorities are built.

At the heart of the interventions to support exports and export companies is, he said, the digitization of the services of the Economic and Commercial Affairs Offices (OSA), through a special digital platform where each exporter can receive real -time personalized support.
