European EULECTRIC providers have announced five commitments to support household customers for the energy transition.
As noted in a statement, the energy transition requires the participation of all customers -and electricity providers will take action to ensure that no one is left behind.
“By introducing electricity solutions into their daily lives, home customers can become active players with multiple benefits. However, these remain unused by many, and Eurelectric is coming to help with new measures of empowerment, “the statement said.
The actions focus on smarter communication, awareness, energy efficiency, user -friendly tools and incentives to promote flexible consumption, and these commitments were developed on the basis of a client research conducted to understand their needs for further strengthening.
It is recalled that in 2020, the energy sector pledged to strengthen 300 million domestic consumers with affordable, transparent and user -friendly solutions. To adapt to the new reality formed by Covid-19, the War in Ukraine and the increasing energy costs, Eurelectric has carried out a new survey of more than 2,000 consumers in 12 countries, along with a suppliers’ survey and roundtable discussions.
The results show high awareness, but low adoption: While 80% take measures to reduce carbon emissions, only 23% have adopted electric solutions.
“The energy crisis has led to short -term savings, but not to sufficient long -term changes. To accelerate electricity, we must ensure that all consumers feel they are supported by reducing initial costs and increasing simplicity, “said Christian Rabbi, EUlectric’s Secretary General.
The 5 commitments
Consequently, the energy sector is committed to:
1. Communicates in a smarter way, with personalized, multilingual tips and real -time alerts.
2. Motivate all consumers to be interested, including vulnerable groups, tenants and digitally excluded individuals.
3. Enhance efficiency through customized energy saving tips, smart tools and innovation support.
4. Simplify energy services with easy -to -use applications, automated tools and better access to products.
5. Promote the flexibility of demand to help consumers save money and support network durability.
