With a surprise number that exceeded all expectations, 76 bodies from 16 Member States have submitted statements of interest in creating AI Gigafactories in 60 locations across Europe. The invitation, closed on June 20, marks the first step in implementing an ambitious plan: to make the European Union the first continent, worldwide, with an industrial -scale overseas intelligence infrastructure.

The proposals came from major market players: Data Centers companies, telecommunications providers, energy providers, technology giants, and even international financial investors. All of them, European and world -wide, have lodged their interest in the construction of units, which – according to estimates – will include a total of more than 3 million state -of -the -art GPUS, specially designed for training and application of TN algorithms.

AI Gigafactories are the evolution of the AI ​​Factories initiative and are based on the capabilities of the EuroHPC supercomputing network.
