The 4th amendment of the underground and modernization act of the Irpecification Network of TOEB SELLANA was approved through which the budget is upgraded from EUR 4,255,000 to EUR 27,556,321.50, as announced by the Ministry of Rural Development and Food.

The act concerns the complete underground and modernization of the irrigation network of 73 drilling of TOEB SELLANA, which serve 11 farms of the areas of Kalogriana, Marathea, Kordas, Pedinou, Suburbs, Agia Triada, Magoula, Paleochori, Paleochori, Paleochori, Paleochori,

The project includes the removal of the Perrot surface network and its replacement with an underground network with a total length of 52,616.10 meters, the complete reconstruction of the pumping stations and the installation of modern electromechanical equipment, as well as the automation of the operation of the irrigation system through central control system.

It is noted that the act is part of the National Strategic Plan “HYDR 2.0”, which was presented in September 2024 by the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning, in the presence of the Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis in Larissa, in the framework of a presentation of 16 iconic works in Thessaly with the aim of irrigation of more than € 500,000.

The funding comes from a combination of resources of the recovery and durability Fund, the Strategic Plan of the Common Agricultural Policy (2023-2027) and the Rural Development Program 2014-2022.
