Explosive rises were recorded in today’s stock market prices, with the market to break up the milestone of 2,000 points, closing in a new 15 -year -old.

The focus of investment interest was the bank stocks, and the rise in stock prices was accompanied by a large increase in turnover.

The General Price Index closed at 2,005.97 points, with a profit of 2.34%.

It is the highest closure of the April 15, 2010 session (2,028.55 points).

Since the beginning of the year, it has recorded profits of 36.49%, while total market capitalization is € 140,062 billion and increased by € 37 billion since the beginning of the year.

The value of the transactions amounted to EUR 341.28 million, with 49,308,918 shares.

The high capitalization index rose 2.57%, while the mid -capitalization index rose 0.57%.

Of the high capitalization shares, the shares of Alpha Bank (+6.60%), Piraeus (+4.79%), Ethniki (+4.11%), Cyprus (+4.01%) and Eurobank (+2.96%) recorded the highest increase.

On the other hand, the shares of PPA (-3.09%), Coca Cola HBC (-0.97%) and Mytileneos (-0.21%) fell the biggest decline.

PPA shares are negotiating today without the right to a dividend of EUR 1.92 per share.

The largest volume of trading was presented by Alpha Bank and Eurobank with 20,715,310 and 11,144,297 shares, respectively.

Metlen scored 105.44 million euros and Alpha Bank with € 70.04 million.

88 shares were on the rise, 28 declining and 11 remained stable.

The shares rose the most: Progressive (+13.00%) and Kyriakoulis (+12.16%).

The biggest decline was recorded by the Attic Publications (-8.88%) and PPA (-3.09%).
