UK is stepping up pressure on Vladimir Putin’s military machine by imposing 100 new sanctions with the aim of reducing the revenue source and the military supplies of Russia. The announcement of the measures coincides with the visit of Foreign Minister Ivet Cooper to Kiev, “in a solidarity move to the Ukrainian people,” as stated in a statement.
New measures come as a response to Recent Russian air raidswho violated the air space of NATO in Poland and caused damage to the cabinet building in Kyiv. Sanctions are targeted by the “shadow fleet” that carries Russian oil, as well as key military components suppliers.

With this new beam of measures, the United Kingdom now has target more Russian oil tankers from any other country.
“The United Kingdom will not be left with its arms crossed as Putin continues its barbaric invasion of Ukraine,” British Foreign Minister Iber Cooper said.
