More than BRL 523 million of PIS/Pasep for 2020 has not yet been withdrawn and will be available until December 29. In total, 561,000 workers failed to withdraw the salary bonus, according to the Ministry of Labor and Welfare.
Of the total that did not withdraw the amounts according to the official release calendar, 71% are civil servants and military personnel, who receive the Pasep by Banco do Brasil. Eligible workers in the private sector have the same deadline to withdraw PIS, through Caixa Econômica Federal.
You are entitled to the PIS/Pasep allowance who:
- Worked with a formal contract or as a server for at least 30 days, consecutive or not, in 2020
- You have been registered in the program or in the Cnis (National Registry of Social Information) for at least five years — that is, the first formal job must have taken place in 2015 or earlier.
- Received up to two average monthly minimum wages in the base year, which corresponds to BRL 2,090, considering the minimum wage of BRL 1,045 in force in 2020
- Had your data informed by the employer (legal entity or government) correctly on Rais or eSocial
The Ministry of Labor and Welfare began to receive, this Tuesday (5), the administrative resources of those who were not qualified, but understand that they are entitled to receive the allowance. It is necessary to send an email to [email protected], changing the phrase “uf” to the acronym of the state of residence. For those from São Paulo, the email is [email protected], for example.
The benefit can be consulted:
- By phone: by number 158
- In the Digital Work Card app: The application can be downloaded or updated on mobile phones with Android operating system and iOS system. According to the ministry, it is “strongly recommended” that workers update to the latest version of the app. Without the update, it will not be impossible to verify the entitlement, the amount of the allowance, the day and the bank for receipt.
- On the gov.br portal: the website gives access to the same information about the Digital Work Card allowance
How to withdraw the PIS
Caixa customers receive the money automatically in their checking or savings account. If they are on the official calendar and have not had the credit, the indication is to make an inquiry through your bank statement.
Those who do not have an account at Caixa receive the amounts in a digital social savings account, opened by Caixa and which can be operated by the Caixa Tem app. In it, you can pay slips, make purchases or transfer money to another bank account. Withdrawal is also allowed, after generating a password.
If the amounts have not yet been made available, those who have a Citizen Card and password can withdraw the allowance at ATMs, lotteries and the corresponding Caixa Aqui.
For workers who do not have a Caixa account or a Citizen Card and password, withdrawals must be made at a Caixa branch upon presentation of an official photo document.
How to withdraw Pasep
Payment of Pasep is made to public servants according to the final registration number. Those who are customers of Banco do Brasil receive direct payments into their account. Those who haven’t received it will have until December 29 to claim the amounts.
At Banco do Brasil ATMs or on the portal www.bb.com.br/pasep, workers can make the transfer via TED (Available Electronic Transfer) to their bank account.
It is necessary to inform the registration number in Pasep, CPF and date of birth. It is also possible to make the withdrawal at Banco do Brasil branches, presenting an official identity document, such as RG, passport or CNH (National Driver’s License).
320,000 have not yet withdrawn the 2019 allowance
According to the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, more than 320,000 workers did not withdraw the PIS/Pasep allowance for 2019, accumulating R$ 208 million that are still available. The withdrawal, however, can only be done after a system is released by the government, which has not yet occurred.
Previous information was that workers could apply for the 2019 allowance after March 31. However, in new information, the government says that the systems are still being adapted by Dataprev (a federal technology company) and should be ready by May 31.
