Professional cleaning companies register a new increase in the demand for the service for commercial rooms, attributed to the resumption of office operations.
In the Jan-Pro franchise, which had contracts suspended at the beginning of the pandemic because of the home office, cleaning billing came to fall 40% in São Paulo, but in recent weeks, demand has grown from 5% to 10%, according to the company.
The Mary Help network of daily workers says that the client’s profile has changed. The company surpassed the volume of pre-pandemic services, and today it does around 50,000 cleanings a month, 10,000 more than before, according to José Roberto Campanelli, founder of the network.
He claims that, in April 2020, demand for cleaning had fallen by 70%. The normal level was recovered in October, but dropped back 20% in the second wave of the pandemic.
What has been gradually decreasing is the demand for sanitization, a service to eliminate viruses and bacteria more efficiently. The level of 400 services of the type reached in March this year returned to around 40 in October.
