The month of March closed with a new drop in positive Covid tests in pharmacies.
There were 58,500 cases, which corresponds to 12.5% of the total number of tests performed. The volume was 83% below that recorded in February, according to Abrafarma, which monitors retail pharmaceuticals.
The result maintained the downward trend that has been observed month after month since the explosion of cases in January due to the arrival of the Ômicron variant.
Despite the decline in the consolidated for the month, positive diagnoses advanced in the last week of March, after going through a period of eight weeks in decline.
The change in direction coincided with the announcement of relaxation measures, such as the end of mandatory use of masks in São Paulo.
