SA Panel: Rodrigo Garcia appoints Marcos Penido to the SP Government Secretariat

The post that was held by Rodrigo Garcia in charge of the São Paulo Secretariat of Government will now be occupied by Marcos Penido, the state’s Secretary of Infrastructure and Environment.

Penido was appointed by the governor this Wednesday (20).

The secretary took care of the project that was the apple of the eye of Governor João Doria, the depollution of the Pinheiros River, and was manager of other Tucano governments.

At São Paulo City Hall, he was Assistant Secretary of Urban Infrastructure between 2006 and 2010, Secretary of Services and Works in 2017 and also of the sub-prefectures in 2018, when he worked on the PPP (Public-Private Partnership) project for public lighting in the city.

Before that, he was president of CDHU (2015-2016) and Housing Secretary (2014).

This Tuesday (19), Garcia announced economist Felipe Salto to replace Henrique Meirelles in the Department of Finance and Planning. He also chose economist Laura Müller Machado as secretary for Social Development.
