Faced with the rise in fuel prices, businessman Urubatan Helou, one of the most traditional in the parcel transport market in the country, founder of Braspress, says that new transfers may be necessary.
Last year, Braspress readjusted by more than 30% the rates charged for deliveries. This year, the transfer is approaching 22%, according to Helou.
He states that, if new increases in fuel prices are accompanied by the increase in other products, such as tires and lubricants, new transfers will be necessary.
The businessman defends a change in Petrobras’ pricing policy.
“If Petrobras is a Brazilian public company, monopolist, it doesn’t need to generate the profits it has generated. It also has to fulfill its social purpose. the Brazilian people with less rigidity in fuel readjustments”, says Helou.
“As we have an inflation in our components, supplies of our business, automatically, we have to put in prices and pass on to the market. There’s no way to hold back”, says Helou.
