The Central Union of Greek Municipalities (KEDE) characterizes the decision of the Ministry of Labor to count the double contributions paid in the past in the pensions of the mayors as “justification of the elected officials of the Local Government of the First Degree and of KEDE”. Until recently, these double contributions were not counted and the competent ministry with its recent interpretative circular, no. 38416 / 20-04-2022, “Redress this injustice”underlines KEDE, while reminding that it was an issue that its current leadership, “had put high on its agenda since the beginning of its term.”
